Sunoak Welsh Terrier Puppies
Our children are grown and married and now we have Grandchildren to socialize and play with puppies! Our youngest grandchildren live 5 minutes away and visit the puppies frequently. All our dogs love children. Our puppies are raised in our home.
Our goal with every litter is to improve and strengthen the Welsh Terrier breed. However, we typically only select one puppy from each litter to retain as the next step in our breeding program. The puppies that we do not keep for ourselves are offered to approved families. We work from a reservation list and a wait for the right puppy should be expected. However, we will work to reward your patience with a beautiful, healthy welsh terrier puppy.
Below we will cover all the details of our puppy program, from puppy care, health testing, the reservation process, the selection process, and pickup/transportation.
Our Puppy Process
Depending on the age of your puppy, it will have at least its first round of vaccinations. We will provide you with a detailed vaccination recommendation to share with your veterinarian.
All our puppies have a health check by a licensed Veterinarian who is a graduate from MSU before leaving.
All of our puppies are microchipped and you are given a prepaid registration form to register the chip with AKC reunite.
All puppies are started on ground proplan puppy food mixed with goats milk. When they are 6 weeks we start them on dry Proplan puppy food of which they will go home on.
We would love to have you come and visit us and our dogs by appointment. We have over 40 years of experience breeding and showing Welsh Terriers and are happy to share our knowledge. If you decide that you want one of our puppies you can give us a deposit to hold one. We are available to answer questions or offer advice on training for the life of your dog!
We allow people to visit them after they have their first vaccination. You can pick up your puppy when they are 9 weeks old. At that time you will get extensive training tips. You will receive the AKC registration application, vaccination record, date of health check, microchip registration, and proplan puppy food.
